Sticky messages & big news

Hi friends,

Exciting news: My husband and I are moving to Canada in about two months. Toronto, to be precise.

It’s gonna be a temperature shock for sure coming from tropical Papua New Guinea. Gotta stock up on the winter clothes.

The odd thing I’m really looking forward to: Not having to get up in the middle of the night anymore to attend calls with people in North America.

It takes me forever to finish a book. Mainly because I get distracted by other books, which suddenly seem even more interesting. But “Made to Stick – Why Some Ideas Survive and Others Die” by Chip and Dan Heath kept me hooked… which is kinda the whole point of the book. This is my book summary that shows how the art of getting attention and making an idea stick can be systematized.


Your Actionable Copywriting Tip 

The “You” Rule

The word “you” should heavily outweigh any “we’s” and “I’s” in your copy. Why? Because your customers care about themselves, not you (sorry!)

To make sure that you aren’t tempted to use “we” or “I”, start every sentence with “you” when writing your first draft. Yes, really!

This app is what the world needs right now. It makes it simple to share gratitude and appreciation for another human being – via video. I participated in a Tribute for our Write of Passage teachers, where we as students thanked them for everything this program meant for us. Goosebumps!
