Scale with a virtual summit & the simple funnel to launch your course

Hi friends,

I’m knee-deep into organizing the Second Brain Summit, which kicks off in only 2 weeks 😱.

We’re bringing together some of the world’s leading experts and thought leaders to nerd out about productivity, notetaking, and personal knowledge management.

The goal is to provide free value to our audience and lift up the PKM space as a whole…

But also to draw attention to the upcoming launch of cohort 14 of Building a Second Brain (sneaky).

So, my question for you is: Does a virtual summit exist in your space?

If yes, how can you be part of it? Get in touch with the organizers and apply to be a speaker.

If no, could you organize one? It doesn’t have to be a week-long thing. A day or two of workshops, interviews, and Q&As could draw a crowd and put you and what you do into the spotlight.

Let me know if you’re interested in me sharing how I organized our summit from start to finish.

Now, let’s dive into this week’s newsletter…

The simple funnel to launch your course 🚀

Resurfacing this must-read! Successful marketing comes down to understanding your funnel and optimizing every part of it. And if you think you don’t have a funnel yet because you’re just getting started, you do.

🤓 Online Courses

Should you offer lifetime access to your cohort-based course?

If you’re running a CBC, then this question will pop up at some point. But before we can answer that question, we need to understand: Why would someone repeat a live course? I asked Twitter, and here’s what I learned.

Standing out as a student

“Being a student in a course is one of the most under-leveraged growth strategies.” I couldn’t agree more with this article by Marie Poulin. Actively participating in online courses has opened doors for me that I didn’t even know existed (and now I’m the Marketing Manager for one of my favorite courses 😃).
